BB modem Not starting up at Boot up

  Migwell 05:54 06 Feb 05

When I Boot up my computer (usualy from hibernate) on occasion the modem will not boot up. The only way to get it going is to un-plug it the USB cable and plug it back in again, is there something wrong with the modem or the line. I am usualy told that there is no dial tone.

goto device manager, universal bus controller, usb root hub properties & untick allow puter to turn off this device to save power.

If that fails unplug and the reconnect the usb lead from your BB modem. This sometimes clears the fault.
If that does not work the only other thing I can suggest is to reinstall your BB software (modem drivers etc)on the disc supplied by your BB provider.
