Battery Life

When using a laptop plugged into the mains, is it best to remove the battery or leave it attached.

I’m thinking when the life of the battery is not fully charged will this affect it in anyway, or is it best to run down the battery from time to time.

charge fully and remove battery.

Always run the battery flat before recharging again.

From past threads on this subject the consensus has been to leave the battery in. Once it has been charged its life is being used anyway as a result of the chemical reaction and in the event of a power failure your laptop will revert to battery thus providing an uninterruptible supply.
