simple question folks..is there a specific type or a better than others type of "AA" battery for digital cameras ?
i can't imagine life expectancy would be vastly improved beyond the "DURACELL" genre, but what about improving on regeneration of flash speed and pre-view ?...something with "faster bursts of energy"...if that makes sense.

I use rechargeable AA batteries with as high a milliamp per hour rating I can find. These are the NiMh type with no memory effect and I have the 1800Mh ones although higher are available. But they do not alter the characteristics no speed or flash difference they just last longer between recharge.

Look here for some very good prices for NiMH rechargeables and chargers. They even have 2300mA-H AA cells. click here
