Hi,

I need to write a DOS batch code to run a WAV file invisibly. i.e. without opening (or appearing to open) an app like wm player

Any ideas? All help appreciated

It is a long while since I used DOS, but this page should point you in the right direction.

"I need to write a DOS batch code......."

Why, if you don't mind me asking? Also, which operating system are you using?

its windows vista home basic, and i want to play sounds at certain stages through the procedure to tell the user what is happening

Sorry dalek111, I can't get it to open in the background, you might need to call a javascript app from the batch file to achieve it, but that's beyond me, I'm afraid.
