Bandwidth Hog

Hi all,
I have recently been having problems with my gateway PC hogging all the bandwidth. I am on NTL 2Mbps and my connection speed is fine (I have run the ADSLGuide speed test and I am getting 2Mbps downstream) but the other PC on my network has poor internet performance - when I am downloading large files on the gateway PC, internet browsing performance on PC 2 drops to almost dial-up speed. Is there any way to allocate more bandwidth to the other pc on my network? Incidentally, my router is a Netgear RP614v.

As long as your main PC has a firewall, anti virus, you can try and turn off the firewall on the networked PC. I have done this and the speed gain was noticable.
