Hi,

Can anyone advise me where i can download a tool to repair bad sectors on a hard drive?

Download drive maintenance tools from the drive manufacturers website.

If the number of bad sectors starts to increase it is usually a sign of a drive on its way out, back up all your valuable data and prepare to get a new drive.

Remember to run Chkdsk as well (in advanced mode) so that Windows can note the bad sectors and avoid them should they prove unrepairable. click here

Hi,
I have already ordered a new 200gig hard drive. I think the problem was that the two hard drives i have currently installed in my Dell developed an overheating problem due to their proximity to each other. So i am replacing both and adding aditional cooling to counter this, thankfully there were only games and backed up data.
