When you mention that the picture is poor, a bit more description will help. Ratio, blurry, fuzzy, intermitent, etc...?

Have you connected the TV tuner card to your outdoor aerial? G

I have cable tv and the picture is fuzzy cheers

Being analogue, you may need to re-tune the TV card.

How are you connecting the cable TV to the PC?

The Medion 8828 click here (or click here) has a DVB-T, DVB-S & analogue tuner.

I believe you need a DVB-C tuner to connect your cable TV connection to your PC.

But as Lazarus enquired, did you have better reception BEFORE the Win7 upgrade? G

how do I retune tv card?

  GaT7 13:38 16 Dec 09

"how do I retune tv card?"

Didn't the TV tuner come with instructions to do this? It's usually re-tuned in the tuner's software.

I don't think re-tuning is going to help though, as you're feeding it via cable TV. You can do it if you connect via your roof aerial.

Answers to our queries will be welcome. G

Have you checked the Medion site for updates.

Windows Media Centre is used for viewing/tuning the TV card you need to into the settings.

If you are getting a poor picture this could be due to several things.

1 poor signal
2 faulty cable
3 The signal is going through another unit i.e. a video recorded which is causing an interference.

? why are you trying to tune in the analogue channels and not the digital.

If you go to the Aldi/Medion suppor forum they would be able to advise you more with the Win7 upgrade. click here

Sounds like you are talking about viewing TV from Cable on your PC

  GaT7 14:20 16 Dec 09

BRYNIT, as woodchip says, he/she is trying to view cable TV on the PC.

In other words, ball_footy is not the using the tuner in the usual way via the inbuilt tuners, but via TV supplied through a cable. I don't think this is possible without the use of a DVB-C TV tuner card. G
