we,v a new family pc from dell.whats the d:drive (backup)for. (becky bp)

computers are prone to the occasional crash, ie you cannot start it one time and you have to get it fixed. This offten means that if you did not backup any important data ( in your case to your D: drive/partition) then it would no longer be there after the fix

dad says he,s read the dell user manual & theres nothing about the d drive there.he doesn,t know how to back anything up,i know its important but i don,t know how to do it either.is there any web sites that might explain things. (becky bp)
