Backup Software.

Hi all.
I used to use Norton Ghost to backup my PC. Now I require something different. I have seen one called, Macrium Reflect Free Edition and it has some good reviews. A friend of mine recommends Acronis. I wonder if anyone can give me their opinions too.

Acronis is my recommendation.

Acronis for me too.

Though there are others- Paragon is a name that comes to mind.
I do not use either.
I simply 'back' 'new' stuff as required to an external drive.
After all there is no need to back everything that gets into your computer.

Well, it looks like it's going to be Acronis. Thanks all for the advice.

It suits me to use Acronis for C: with its OS and most applications, but for data of every sort I use s freebie - EZBackitup.

This in effect is a batch file where the user can select from a Windows Explorer type screen, what is to be backed up and where the backup is to go.

Once set up it is simply one click to make a routine backup.
Minor additions or omissions are easy to make.

The routine can be changed to ignore or delete old files. (I allow old files to remain in the backup, you never know....)
