I have a notebook computer with a 6gb hd, usb cd rw drive but no floppy drive. I want to get a bigger about 20gb hdd but need to copy the contents of my old drive to it completely, like a clone. can anyone recommend some good software that will enable me to do this using my usb cd rw and that dosen't need to boot from floppy?
Also anyone know where I can get a 20gb (or higher) 2.5" notebook hdd (as cheaply as possible)
and if I will have any probs upgrading. compaq presario notebook 6gb, celeron 600, 192mb ram, pheonix bios (about 3yrs old I think)

Have a look at the FREE xxcopy program at click here. It's free, it's quick and it's easy.
I clone my C;\drive every week as a backup on to my D:\ drive.
You would have to use the extensions with the program in order to split the backup over the required quantity of CD discs if you use a CD-RW.
