I've just spent nearly all day with my new Dell laptop, firstly deleting all the rubbish I don't want and then installing all my stuff and setting up my preferences etc.
Is there a way that I can back this up so that when I want to wipe the disk, I can put it all back exactly the way it is now.
I did not get an install disk from Dell. There is a Dell Restore, but I don't want to go through all this again!

Yes. By using Acronis True Image 9, then Create a Image of the Drive including Partition info. This can span CD's or DVD's if you get the latest version 9 click here

The Image can be restored as the time you make the Image in about 15 Minutes. Virus's or Software gets corrupt no problem. gone when you reinstall the image
