Backing up Ipod music files

  adambull 21:56 08 Nov 06

My computer that had my I-tunes music files on got stolen. I have my Ipod with 3750 songs on but it isnt backed up anywhere. Could anyone tell me if it is possible to back these files up onto CD/Hardrive. Many Thanks

sure it is, though you'll need third-party software to do it. Ephpod click here is free but I prefer XPlay click here. You have to pay for it but if you just want to pull your tunes off the iPod and back them up, you'll be able to do that with the free trial.

According to the Xplay site (as in Kate Bs' link) it sounds easy enough;

'Backup your music

Having your music collection with you on your iPod is great, but it sure feels nice to have a backup of your collection on your computer. XPlay enables you to copy your music from your iPod to your PC. No more worries about losing the thousands of songs you own. Simply save them to your PC hard drive. It's a quick and easy way to ensure your peace of mind.'

Once it is on your pcs harddrive, you should be able to transfer to cd/dvd.
