Good morning everyone - quick question?

Is it possible to back up my email (lots in seperate folders to keep safe and separate)in hotmail onto my external hard drive?? If so, of course, HOW?

Many thanks in anticipation.x

As long as the mail is in downloaded to your inbox, then you can use the "export" option to save them all as a .pst file

Alternatively, select the contents of each folder and copy them to a safe location (an external hdd is good for this)

From the menubar "Tools"

"Acounts"

Higlight the account you wish to save and choose "Export"

Choose the destination drive (ie: c d etc.)

Ok. Go to the start menu.

Programmes

Windows Mail

Then Tools

Accounts

Highlight one at a time (you have a hotmail account, as well as one from your ISP)

Choose export

Then a safe palce to store them.

I use this--very handy and easy and provides saving to CD. Free.
