Backing up C: drive.

Could someone please advise me as to the best way to backup my C: drive to another HDD already installed and formatted. The idea is to move everything to the bigger drive then make it the master and then remove the old, smaller, drive.

Many thanks

This is generally regarded as the one that works for all sorts of back up. click here However I am not sure about its ability to do a replacement task as you require. I have found them to be very helpful in the past so a call to their UK base or an e-mail should give you the answer.

Acronis will do it, follow the link by anskyber
you can use the "Clone" facility

Versions * onwards (at least) of Acronis True Image will do the job and are available for a lot less. Version 8 is available from Amazon Marketplace for £12.99 and version 9 for £14.50.

Whichever version you get remember to register on the Acronis web-site and download the latest update for the version in question.
