Backing up

I'm finding backing up to tape/CDs is getting a bit cumbersome and time consuming so am thinking of getting an external HD for this so everything will be on one disk. Am using 98SE with 8Gb/20Gb applications/data including photos currently in use on one drive plus 10Gb/30Gb of video on another.
Anyone any helpful suggestions as to the best route to take please.

I'm using a USB 2.0 Freecom FHD-1 120GB hard Drive bought from Novatech for about £170 and it works perfectly on my XP Home system. Drivers for 98SE are supplied and it has a 1 touch backup system that uses MS Briefcase for synchronisation. They also do an 80GB version for just under £120 see click here. I still continue to backup my data to CD's though so I can store them offsite (the office) just in case the worst happens.
