Back-ups

I regulary back up my personal stuff etc. to cd-rw but am a little confused after reading other posts about saving to different areas and partioning drives also I no installation disc for my machine running xp. I make restore points on a regular basis.

1) You just need to backup what you need to back up should the worst happen. Personal files, pictures, downloaded programs etc Really you need to decide what to backup.

2) Backing up to CD is OK but you can use a second hard drive if you want. A CD might be unreadable by the time you need to use it. A hard drive has a bigger capacity and shouldn't let you down...
