I need to back up my outlook files only, using the *.pst command.

Windows back up doesn't seem to give me that option. How do I do it.

Windows xp.

C:\Documents and Settings\kids\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\backup.pst

This is the file path.

There is no file named local settings either in windows explorer or c drive.

I need to transfer my outlook files to a dvd and then to another computer.

Personally I use the export method in VoG™'s link note where I have saved the file and then I would burn it to DVD (I have used a memory stick for this). Then use the import function on the other pc.

I can't do anything because I can't find the *.pst file.

There is no file named local setings in explorer or c drive.

You may have to make sure that hidden files are shown. But you don't need to find the pst file. If you use the export method then you choose the location of the pst file and it could be in amoingst your documents.
