Back up to DVD disaster

  Inky 20:03 23 Sep 04

In May I backed up a friends "My Documents" folder to a DVD. As a precaution I burnt a second DVD in case the first got damaged. I had the call today that she can't read her copy. Problem is my copy doesn't work either.

Both were fine at the time and my copy has been kept in the dark. Is there any way to recover the file - most of them were family pictures!!

I've tried 4 DVD players to no avail.

Thanks Guys

The disks were finalised and were done in a single session.

I'll give the other solutions a go tonight.

Tried this one today. It seems more for recovering films from corrupted DVDs than miscellaneous files like jpegs

Thanks for the suggestion anyway.
