My brother-in-law has managed to install awola and now I have to get rid of it. Any ideas? He lives 60miles away and is techno-phobic.

There are a couple of ways to remove this Spyware infection;

One is a paid for program,such as Spyware Doctor or the manual removal procedure (can be tricky) and not for the inexeperienced.

Manual removal; click here

Alternatively run Hijackthis click here and post the scan log click here here the help is free from the malware experts...please be paitent,they do get busy.

I looked on google and quickly scanned that link.

Didn't realise it was a trial which wouldn't remove anything.

You could try Rogueremover; click here

Garthy,you may need to boot into safemode and run the free apps given.
Superantispyware needs updating first,then boot into safemode and run.
same goes for Rogueremover.
