I have quite a few avi files that are to large to fit on 700mb and 900mb disks, therefore i invested in buying a dvd-rw drive and some dvd-r disks. since i put this drive in, my burning software won't convert my avi files to vcd does anybody know of a software package that will convert my avi to dvd files that doesn't take hours to convert and thats pretty easy to use.
cheers all

winmpg converter will do it . but if your files run into hours so will the encoding . i havent found one yet that does it in much less time than the duration of the film .

I think that you can convert to MPEG to play on DVD, but not sure

I use Nero 6, make sure you have the latest versions which are quicker, still takes time though
