AVG7 and Outlook Express

I have just updated my mother's system to AVG7. Outlook Express now refuses to connect to the mail server, repeatedly giving the following message:
There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your User Name was rejected.
Account: 'pop.tiscali.co.uk', Server: 'pop.tiscali.co.uk', Protocol: POP3,
Server Response: '-ERR Cannot connect to the host', Port: 110, Secure(SSL):
No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC91

Am I right in thinking that AVG7 will not scan mail in Outlook Express. Is the only solution to turn of the email scanner

I followed the link and it says you can click on a Wizard to perform the necessary steps but I cannot see a Wizard button and I'd rather not have to do it all manually in case of a cock up!

you can do it.

On this web page click the drop-down box and select Outlook Express then click "Choose"

you will then see what your settings should be like.

Now, in OE click on "Tools" "Accounts"

Select your Tiscali account and click "Properties"

The settings you need to check are on the "Servers" and the " Advanced" tabs.

Hope this does the trick. please note that your Server information - i.e. pop & smtp is printed accurately.
