AVG uninstallation

I recently uninstalled AVG 8 because my Outlook would not open and a few people here told me they had the same problem with Vista which I also have. I now have Agast installed which is working fine. However, everytime I start the computer I get the following message.

Could not inialize AVG Virus kernal interface as application cannot run.

How can I get read of this message.

START > RUN > MSCONFIG >STARTUP and look for any line with AVG and untick box

Do a search for AVG remove what it finds but be aware that the avg may be part of a word or file name so check before you delete. You also need to remove it in Regedit. but thats another thing and if you do not know how to use it can be lethal

PS the Message is being triggered by the registry

you should also do a registry search for grisoft (home of AVG)

Some of the AVG things in Regedit will not let you delete them unless you change the settings in it first for the item you want to remove. You have to right click and change privileges
