AVG 8.0 virus shield found, 'Potentially UNwanted Program'; File; C:\System Volume Information \_restore(B37680B2-BADA-4e5d-BF30-83F44C588624...etc dll. Threat Name: Adaware Generic 2GXZ.
I did not know whether this is a false positive, so I clicked to IGNORE.
Does anyone know if this program is harmful ? or what it does please ? I asked AVG support but they said that they cannot help FREE subscribers.

I wouldn't worry too much. It is in a restore point and can't do any harm unless you restore to that point.

If you really want to remove it you can turn System Restore off. Then turn SR back on and create a restore point click here
