AVG how to disable

  MIKE 14:09 11 Feb 05

A friend of mine has just bought a new Epsom MFD and now wants to set it up. On running the CD it tells him to disable your Virus checkers before loading the full set up. Can anyone tell me how to disable AVG so I can load the software and my main question is it do I need to disable it to load the Epsom drivers.Seems a bit drastic to me.

Usually, when you install programs, drivers etc that can be done offline, should be done offline. Disabling your AV whilst online is a silly thing to do.
