AVG email scan

I have just started getting the message displayed on boot up, that my AVG email scanning is not fully functional. The AVG icon is greyed out.
If I start the AVG control centre and go into the email scan part, the function then corrects itself.
Anyone know why this is suddenly happening and how to cure it?

When you open the control center and double click on the e-mail scanner, it should open a window giving you the option to disable/enable the function.

If you can get to this then you should be able to enable the function. There is also a Help button that describes how to enable/disable the function.

In the event that you have a problem with the software (it`s broken) then you can try reinstalling over the top to repair it.

Thanks johndrew.
I have done this (several times) but just wondered why its started happening.

There could be a whole host of causes. Have you tried looking at the AVG FAQ click here
