AVG on duel boot system

  nogga 20:05 19 May 03

I have W98SE and XP as a duel boot system. On the 98 installation I have AGV free antivirus. I am told that it is not permitted to install it on more than one PC, does a duel boot system count as one PC or two.
Or is there a decent alternative that I can install on XP.
I also have Zone alarm on the 98 windows version but I am told that XP has a built in firewall. Is this so.

I would count a dual-boot system as one pc only. It is only one Personal Computer, and it is nigh on impossible to use both operating systems at the same time.

XP has a basic firewall, but I would suggest that you disable it and install another, eg ZoneAlarm if you are happy with ZA.

It's a matter of interpretation.

Certainly, from a technical point of view, it is possible to install AVG on each of your operating systems.

Yes. XP does have it's own Firewall.
