I have a problem with AVG Antivirus. I wanted to try the Kapersky Antivirus and so started to uninstall the AVG, but it keeps coming up with failed so I can't seem to get rid of it. Anybody have any idea's.

I think I have cured the problem, it turned out to be a corrupt file and had to delete manually then use a program called Advanced window care cleared the rest. I have also used the program called regscrubxp which helps.

Another tip is to go into safe mode, search for grisoft then for avg* and deletes relevant files and folders then re-instal avg and un-instal (to get rid of directory entries) then boot into normal mode and instal Kap (I did and didn't like it but that was my opinion, others may differ, I am back with AVG
