avg 8 and spyware terminator together as shields

windows xp sp2.

I now use free avg for anti virus and spyware and a squared for anti spyware. as avg has a shield in it do i also need spyware termintor as a blocker (i believe it is very good) or will avg and spyware termintor shields conflict with each other?

As I understanf it real time "active" antispyware programs (Spyware Terminator/Spywareblaster and Spybot S/D - in teatimer mode)achieve their immunization by writing scripts into your registry which are identical to the script which would be written by a real piece of spyware/malware and which therefore stops that infection from taking place.

The new AVG 8.0 has a database which searches for these scripts but cannot distinguish that they have been put there by another antispyware program so flags them as "active X compatibility warnings"

Maintain the immunization from your antispyware program and disregard the AVG warnings and you should be OK.
