AVG 6 (Free) says virus database is out of date

  kgman 22:05 15 Jun 03

Running ZA,AVG and Trojan Remover on my PC.
Everything been working fine, went to run AVG and noticed the following warning 'virus database is out of date'. So checked for updates and found that my virus database on my PC is the most current one. Downloaded the same update, copied to AVG, still getting warning about outdated virus database. Starting to annoy me now. I have uninstalled/installed AVG 6, still getting same old warning.
Can anyone Help? I have contacted Grisoft but still waiting for reply.

Further to problems with AVG, this evening discovered IE wont send mail, ZA has stopped logging internet traffic.

This happened to me once and this was the fix.

Go to the Grisoft site click here

and downoad the latest update
Language English
Size 3587469 bytes
Date 16.06.2003

and copy to the following folder

C:\Program Files\Grisoft\AVG6\UPDATE

Then Run AVG Anti Virus (not the control panel)via the taskbar (lower right) - It should automatically update.

See if that works.

You may have to reboot.
