I've set email certification so it should insert a message at the end of each email sent and received 'this email is certified clean' and AVG then inserts its name and virus database version. It did this without a problem for years. Now it's stopped inserting the message.

Does this mean AVG has stopped scanning my emails (despite all the correct ticks in the correct boxes)?

Does anyone know how to reactivate the insertion of the message?

I managed to get it to reinsert the message for one email by deactivating then reactivating the Shell Extn but it then disappeared again.

Any ideas?

Try uninstalling then re-installing, the only thing with this is you have to then download all the updates

I came to the same conclusion on the re-install. So I uninstalled (after downloading the very latest version from Grisoft - 16Mb). Then re-installed and Updated to todays definition. It now works as it should. It seemed to go wrong after the 25/1/06 update.

Previously with a fully upto date version AVG said everything was working fully - but it obviously wasn't!

Thanks for your help.
