Avast Pro ~ What else do he need?

I have, at long last, managed to get my Brother-in-Law to take his PC's security seriously.

He has downloaded and installed Avast Pro ~ What else does he need? As far as I can see, it has everything but a Firewall.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Unless someone advises against it, I shall recommend Comodo, I use Zone Alarm and am happy with it, but it's been receiving bad press lately.

SpywareBlaster.Comodo is one of the best.And maybe C Cleaner if he has not already got it.Also McAfee Site Advisor.That will save him from opening bad sites.

The rule is:

1 Antivirus
1 Firewall (software) {but you can also use the hardware one in a router}
As much antispyware as you wish. (of course too much will slow the machine.

My recommendations are:
Really all you need

AV= AVAST or AVG
FW = ZoneAlarm or sygate
AS = Spyware Blaster as a Blocker + Superantispyware as a scanner.
Spamhinaltor click here to keeps the email spam to a minimum.
Use CCleaner every couple of days to clear the rubbish and stop the hard drive from filling too quickly.

You will be well protected without slowing up the PC.

He already has Avast Pro, which sports just about everything.

However it does not use the normal descriptions, so I was hoping that someone with Avast Pro could fill in the details.

Fruit Bat /\0/\ ~ I sent him a comprehensive list of Freebies but he chose to ignore that because he likes paying for things.

So ~ The question is ~ what is missing from Avast Pro?
