Hi,Is it possible to run two anti virus programs side by side?.
Presently I have AVG free installed, and would like to use the free version of Avast as well.Just to be on the safe side.Cheers,Mike

You really are best not running two together and there is no advantage to it. Both AVG and Avast are quality programs and if you hare happy with one, you should stick with it.

I've used Avast for some years now and have been impressed by its ease of use.

No as they'd cause a conflict.

NEVER run 2 AV programs together.

They will clash and/or cancel each other out.

I just use avg myself and have no problems. I did at one stage have avg and antivir which didn't cause any bother when they were run one at a time but now its just avg. It seems to give all the protection I need.
