Autorun CD's/MP3's

  ptrafc 13:32 21 Mar 04

My PC used to ask which program I wanted to use to play CD's or MP3's when I inserted a disk. The box doesn't appear anymore. Does anyone know how to get it back again?
Cheers in advance.

Control Panel, System, Device Manager, CD-ROM, Drives, Settings, Auto-insert notification should be checked.

I've found the device manager, but there's no drives or settings option. I've tried looking in the properties for the drive in question, but there's no auto-insert notification.

Hmm, mine doesn't appear to be the same. I'm using windows XP.
it goes system, then I have to click the hardware tab, then click the device manager button.
When I look at the drive properties, the tabs read:
General, Properties, DVD Region, Volumes and driver.
None of them contain the required tickbox.
Thanx anyway.
