Autoplay again

I know it's an old chestnut.

I'm running XP and have two DVD drives which have both decided to refuse to autoplay CD's.

I have looked in my computer and checked in the properties for these drives. They are both set to:- Prompt me each time to choose an action.

So now I'm at the limit of my expertise. Can anyone help further, please?

Have you tried the autoplay repair wizard from Microsoft, which you can get from here click here . This may help you.

In properties - Autoplay, select the type of media (e.g. Music CD) from the top selection box, then select 'Select an action to perform' and choose what you want from the list (e.g. Play Audio CD using Windows Media Player). Then click 'apply'
