Automatic Java Update - consistantly

Every time i turn on my laptop i get a msg asking for authorisation for an automatic jave update. I accept, but i dont understand why i now get it every time...

any suggestions on how i can stop this?

Use this page to check which version of Java you have click here

Then let it update as necessary.

Check also that your firewall isn`t blocking the updater.

Any old java updates remove them and just leave the latest one.

If provider2 method does not work just go to msconfig and untick it from the start up programs.That will stop it running at start up.
