Start/all programs/startup. right click on startup and select open.Make the window half your screen size. Now select start again/control panel/network connections.Drag and drop (right click) your connection icon into the startup window and select create shortcut. Next time you boot up your connection will be made automatically.

found a simpler way.Start/all programs/right click startup/open all users.Drag and drop your desktop icon into the window. Voila auto connection. Found the first way was a bit flaky.
