Automated read response to an e-mail

  trickie57 13:43 03 Jan 07

I am using outlook 2003

I have been sent an e-mail from a friend of mine who requested a read upon receipt notice.

I don't normally click ok to this type of notice but as it was christmas I did.

What a bad move.

I am still receiving and sending e-mail's ok
but cannot seem to stop the notification on the bottom tool bar from saying "sending".

Contacted my friend and he didn't receive the response.

Can you advise?

Hi trickie57,
Not sure if this is what you want but have a look,
in outlook2003 click on Tools, then click on options then click on email options, then click on tracking options, there you will find options to not send any receipts.
Good Luck

Outlook 2003 still showing on the bottom tool bar that is still sending the response to the email that I click (on the response box to say I have read the e-mail).
I have checked with my freind and it hasn't been recieved. Its been going on for 10 days now other than re-install any ideas where to look to stop the response?
