I am trying to burn one of my audiobooks from itunes onto a CD. Once in a playlist the book is 540MB, however i can only fit 3 chapters onto my 700MB CD. Is there a reason for this? Is my only option to spread the book over several CDs?

The book is probably in MP3 format at 540MB if you are trying to burn to CD from itunes it will be converting the file to a CDDA format to play on a normal CD player.

so im going to need a lot more CD's if it is in CDDA format then?

Yes if you want to play on normal CD player.

Typical Audio book is 10 - 12 CDs long in standrd CD format

You can burn it as a data CD and the files will sty in MP3 you can then play on a PC or player that supports MP3.

I download audio books and burn as data (make an MP3 CD) for my farther so he can play then in his "daisy CD" (RNIB) player.
