Bit of a newbie.

Im keen to upgrade my home audio and video system.

Currently playing audio through an old hifi system and dvds through an seperate dvd player onto a cathode ray tube TV.

I want advice on which audio system can replace these? I thinking about getting a HD flat screen coupled to a audio/dvd/DAB FM radio combined system. I have most of my audio stored as mp3/flac/i-touch on my pc or laptop. I have a dell Inspiron 15R (Intel i5-450M - 2.4GHz). Can i play my dvd's through this? I am keen to try downloading music from online radio stations and djs.Im also guessing that streaming video will become the norm in a few years and would like to future-proof where possible.
To complictae matters im quite keen on getting AM radio (cricket fan) as well.

Any reccomendations on which type of flat screen to get and also on all-in-one system?

I have seen the Pionner XW-NAV1:

Budget is flexible depending on whats available, but approx £400-800

Thanks for the help.
