Audio problem: HP Compaq Presario CQ61 Windows 7

Hi there,

Sorry I'm not very tech savvy but I have a problem with my laptop and I'll describe it as best as I can.

When doing anything that uses the audio on the laptop - playing Youtube videos, online webinars, playing music stored on the hard drive and so on - the audio will make a sort of jarring noise lasting 1-2 seconds at precipitable intervals, but at least 3 times a minute during a typical Youtube video.

If this happens during an online webinar run through the webinar hosting software (Citrix for example), this actually stops the webinar audio working altogether, which means I have to close the webinar and re-join it which is really frustrating. The rest of laptop's audio appears to be fine.

Can anyone tell me what could be the problem and could it be fixed?

Thank you for your help

Try updating the audio drivers
