iVE only used my panasonic dvd recorder to
record tv programmes

but I was wondering if I got the music centre
playing a cassette tape
and wired that into the back of the dvd

could I record audio music onto say a dvd rw disc

then put that disc into my computor and whizz the audio files do documents...

that would save using wired from the music centre into audacity which I just cant do at present

aUDACITY is a nightmare right now..
Ive tried again and again to get a signal in there
and its not working
It has worked in the past so I must be using the
right line in socket.... top left the blue one !

I tweak the plugs ... but no, just cant get a sound.
In audacity its just a thin blue line.

Tweaking gets a bit of feedback that does sound in the comp speakers so something is getting thru
its just the music signal just is nt getting in there

I ve just tried getting sound from music centre into my panasonic DVD ... no luck there either

all I want to do is to get 8 mins of audio music into my comp.......... is that too much to ask ???

thanks for all the suggestions ... but Ive finally
solved it.

After doing all kinds of tests with audacity,
with my computor sounds and audio devices

I began to wonder... could it be the cable between
my music centre and my comp... could that cable be faulty ?

I found a couple of plugs and rigged up a new cable... bingo... at long last a sound signal appears in audacity !

Ive been round the mountain trying all kinds of things,... getting sound into my dvd player etc..

when all along it was a faulty cable !!!

Anyway its a relief that its something so simple and not a problem with the comp sound card or something !
thanks again for all the help and comments.
