Audio CD compilation failure

  cosmic605 22:16 12 Jan 04

I have just tried to burn my first audio CD compilation using Nero 5. I can hear the music but there is a terrible screeching noise throughout. What have I done wrong? I did a test burn at 12X speed (the max for my Liteon 12102B writer) which Nero said was successful. It also said the burn had been successful. I am using a TDC 16X CD-R and my DVD ROM is an MT1316B BDV212B?

Any help would be appreciated, thank you in advance.

cosmic605, try a slower speed. Don't do fly on the wall. Do you know what is?
