Problem started today. Cannot download attachments to e-mails on PC wired to router. Shows "Getting file information" but no graphic to show download speed and time. Have re-set router as well as rebooted a number of times. I can download attachments when using another computer, wireless working to same router. Any ideas anyone

what is your Op Sys? (XP, Vist, W7)

which email client on your pc are you using to collect emails? and what are your security settings in that email client? (it may be set to not allow attachments)

Is it set to accept plain only or HTML emails?

which Anti-virus, Firewall etc?

Hi Lotvic Using XP and IE8. Using BT Yahoo Mail but do not know how to check and change security settings. Don't know where to find setting regarding html. Using AVG free. Have disconnected this to see if it makes any difference, but it does not.

If you are accessing your email via IE8 Browser then you are using Webmail, not a client program like Outlook Express or Thunderbird. Please Confirm if that is correct.

In IE, Tools, Internet Options, Security tab, have a look at the slider setting for 'Internet' (mine is set at Medium-High)
