ATI catalyst

I'm having problems with my PC which I believe are graphics driver related. I've downloaded the catalyst (I have a Radeon 9800 Pro) and I'm ready to install. Is it just a case of Remove the old, restart and the new install will automatically kick in? It seems that way looking at these instructions,

but, I don't want to make a hash of it and be stuck with nothing, since I don't have any disks for the original drivers coz it's a new PC.

In your shoes I would just run the update. If for any reason it doesn't take then you can follow the 'foolproof' instructions given by rayuk.

Assuming you are using Windoes XP, there is a driver rollback feature to get you out of trouble if the new driver fails. Im not sure how well rollback would work if you completely obliterate all trace of the old drivers.

Thanks, I've managed to sort out the new drivers.
