i have just bought a new processor, the athlonxp 2000+, my brother has exactly the same one, on exactly the same motherboard(soltek 75KAV) and it works fine, but for some reason as i went to boot mine up, it attempted to start up...then shut down, the only way i can get it to try and boot up is to remove the power lead for a while and then put it back in, but i get the same problem.

Not sure if it makes any difference but i put some more RAM in aswell, but i took it out after i got the problem and still wont work. I have upgraded from a tbird 1.3.

Help?!

Have you checked your bios number maybe you may have to flash bios to run 2000+
