Asus P6X58D-E & Corsair 850HX Modular HELP

checking compatibilty of parts for a new build and the above parts I have choosen but not yet ordered.

I am concerned about the Corsair 850 HX Modular PSU being compatible with the Asus P6X58D-E Motherboard.

i have read in a review here click here that the PSU does not have "two 8 pin EPS connectors"

i am not entirely sure what these EPS connectors are unless it mean the 8pin which replaces what use to be a 4pin 12v on the Processor.

It states does not have 2 EPS 8pin am I right I am safe with this PSU as the Asus board has only 1 8pin 12v for the CPU ?

I will be ok then as the Asus board has 1 of these 8pin 12v's & not 2. Interested to know why you can connect a 4pin to a 8pin and it still works or is that when you use a more demanding CPU

Thnks again gengiscant
