Asus P4PE Boot Problem

Have just installed a new Asus P4PE motherboard.
POST checks out OK.
It Boots until the Message:"No drive attached to FastTrak controller.The Bios is not installed.
Any suggestions please.

Disable the additional IDE ports/S-ATA ports in the BIOS unless you intend to use them.

Thanks rct. Sorry for delay in reply. Did what you advised. Got rid of error message. System still will not boot past the same point. That stupid voice keeps saying "completed self test now booting from operating system". but it does not. Just keeps cycling round repeating its self.

Hmm, I'm a tad confused... not familiar with this particular mobo you see! Is HDD-0 set as the 1st boot device? Disable other boot options.

So are you trying to run an existing installation on your new mobo? If you are, it's kind of a bad idea! If you are running XP, I suggest you carry out a "repair" procedure using the set-up CD-ROM.

Two other things to try:

set your HDD jumpers to master/slave rather than using CSEL(cable select/automatic)

Check out Asus to see if a BIOS update is available for your mobo, it may correct the problem you're experiencing.
