asus mobo P5LD2 SE boot into safe mode??

  terryf 02:02 01 Jan 07

winxp sp2, pressing F8 does not allow winxp to boot into safe mode but instead a pop up menu comes up during the bios boot screens which allows choice of boot device, any ideas on how to get into safe mode, please

F8, choose your boot drive from menu, enter, F8 again.

Thanks radi8or, it is always easy when you know how but out of interest, how did you find out cos I've RTFM many times looking for the answer that you have given (and it works)

Sorry for the delay in answering had to run mother over ooops I mean home.

just put your mobo number in google and trawl a few sites, look for forum sites is best, a few usually have some problems where booting to safe mode is required, voila answer is yours.

Glad I could help, have a good computing New Year.

Regards Bob
