Asus M2N32 DLX Wi FI Keyboard problem

I have a strange problem, when I plug in a PS2 keyboard, it comes up after the splash page Keyboard not detected, if I power down and use a USB keyboard it finds it no problem. Then I power down and disconect the USB keyboard and reconnect the PS2 keyboard and on the next start up it finds the PS2 keyboard.
I have tried it with 3 different PS2 keyboards and have the same problem.
Everything else works perfectly, as I use a KVM switch (this is not causing the problem as I have tried it connecting direct and the same problem occurs), to connect two computers I can get a PS" to usb converter plug, but I was wondering if there is some setting in the BIOS that might cure it.
The PS2 connection for the optical mouse works with no problems.
