Does anybody know if the motherboard above has onboard sound and how i disable it. I have a soundcard installed and wondered if it could be conflicting. Also i am running windows xp pro and although in the systemfile it shows my soundcard as the one being used it also has a listing for c-media and the windows update site has updated this recently. Is this a windows default sound system or has it anything to do with the motherboard.

You disable it with a jumper just below the bottom pci slot.

there is a header for the game port and just below this is the audio enable jumper (labelled AUDIO_EN) move it to cover pins 2-3 (right hand pins) and audio will be disabled.

can you disable through the bios set-up as this is set to jumperless mode

Jumperless mode is only applicable to the CPU and Memory speed setup - anything else will still require the jumper to be moved!
